There are two options, by boat, The Block Island Ferry, or by plane, New England Airlines. The ferries run from Point Judith in Narragansett RI to Block Island. The slow ferry takes about 1 hour and allows vehicles. You will need to call them to make a ferry reservation if you'd like to bring your car back and forth. Best to make a reservation sooner then later as weekend spots do fill up quickly. The High Speed ferry is a half an hour ride, no vehicles on this vessel. The are multiple lots in Point Judith at the ferry landing to park your car, ranging from $10-20 per day. Airport parking is free. The ceremony and reception are both on grass, which can be uneven at times. There will be a wooden dance floor, but all other activities for the evening will be on the grass. So pick your shoes accordingly.
