We first met in 2002, but in a time when cell phones were not as prevalent, an old fashioned voice message never delivered, led to a 2 decade gap in our eventual first date. Jack grew up on the Island, creating many lifelong friendships and family stories. After pursuing his educational and professional accomplishments, he returned to the island full-time in 2017. Emily grew up vacationing on the Island with her family and eventually moved here full time after college. Joining her older brother, Shea, who had settled on the island years earlier. Unknowingly she had developed relationships with Jack's family from the start, having worked with and for many island families as a nanny, including for Jack's nephews and niece.
As the country began recovering from the impact of the covid pandemic, and Jack transitioned to living full time on the island, a random chance meeting with Emily re-kindled that long ago spark. Sharing an affinity for Martinis, Yahtzee, jigsaw puzzles and dancing, We are looking forward to spending our time loving and laughing together forever.
